Mission

The mission of the Marine Corps League is to promote the interest and to preserve traditions of the United States Marine Corps; strengthen the fraternity of Marines and their families; serve Marines and FMF Navy Personnel who wear or who have worn the Eagle, Globe and Anchor; and foster the ideals of Americanism and patriotic volunteerism.

Camaraderie

"Marines are men and women of character who have a deep love of country and the Corps, but more importantly for each other."

Jack H. Lucas

Medal Of Honor Recipient

There is no finer example of Lucas' quote than a Marine Corps League Detachment.

The LCPL Justin D. McLeese Detachment is a family of Marines and  FMF Navy Personnel (Received Fleet Marine Force Distinguishing Device) from different eras of conflicts.

Each month we gather to share our stories, our lives, and plan how we can serve our community.

Our door is open to Marines and FMF Sailors of any era.  We are all family here.

Traditions

The Marine Corps was built on battles and traditions.  The LCPL Justin D. McLeese Detachment honors those traditions with our annual Marine Corps Ball and at our meetings?

We honor our proud history through the memories of our members and through the actions of the Marines who made the ultimate sacrfice.

Community

We serve our community by supporting Toys For Tots, Eagle Scouts and Funeral Details.

Our annual Crawfish Cook-Off For The Corps supports the Veterans Regatta held by the Ponthcartrain Yacht Club.

We help our brothers and sisters when our community is impacted by hurricanes.

Find out how we serve our community and come to a detachment meeting.
